Marcia Leota Allison
1939-2025
Marcia Leota Allison, 85, of Raccoon Township, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, at Butler Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Oct. 1, 1939, in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Wheeler Smith and Mary Leota (Finley) Shinton.
Marcia’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was deeply devoted to her children and always involved in their activities as they grew up — whether cheering from the sidelines, keeping score, volunteering her time, or simply being their constant encourager. Her presence and support were a gift that shaped their lives in lasting ways. A woman of faith, Marcia found comfort and community at New Life Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed worship, fellowship, and friendships that uplifted her spirit. She also cherished reconnecting with her high school classmates from East Liverpool’s class of 1957 over the years and treasured the bond she shared with her sisters-in-law, with whom she built lifelong memories. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and the love between them was mutual and overflowing. The addition of great grandchildren was a special joy to her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dale Allison, in 2009.
She is survived by her brother, Ronald Shinton, born in East Liverpool, Ohio, and currently residing in Virginia; her sons, Dan Allison (Kim) of Cridersville, Ohio, and Steve Allison (Chris) of Butler, Pennsylvania; daughters, Cindy Yoon of Ypsilanti, Michigan, and Amy Marshall (Pat) of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Ryan Yoon (Danielle), Lauren Baltierra (Robert), Aaron Yoon, Allison Yoon, Chelsea Marshall (Mike McWilliams), Ashley Marshall, Kristen Marshall (Derek Weber), Meghan Wilson (Logan), Emily Braun (Justin), Nolan Allison, Brody Allison, Becca Allison; great-grandchildren, Haylen McWilliams, Aurora and Elliott Yoon, Joanna Baltierra, Adela Braun, Julianna Wilson; sisters-in-law, Sonnie Allison, Debbie Miller (David), Kathy Bauer (Bill), Jean Danley (Tom); and a brother-in-law, Ron Allison (Laurie).
Friends will be received Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, from 4 until 7 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. at Tatalovich Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., Center Township, 3475 Brodhead Road, Monaca, PA 15061. Rev. Jared Nelson will officiate.
