Ray K. Devaux

1950-2025
Ray K. Devaux, 75, of East Liverpool, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at Magee Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born on April 22, 1950, in East Liverpool, he was the beloved son of the late Arthur and Margaret M. Hildoer Devaux.
A proud graduate of Beaver Local High School’s Class of 1970, Ray dedicated 31 years of his life to the esteemed Homer Laughlin China Company.
A member of the House of Prayer Church, he found joy in watching Jimmy Swiger and treasured moments spent in the gentle embrace of front porch sitting. Ray was known for his infectious laughter, uplifting spirit, and outgoing nature; he truly brought peace and joy to everyone around him.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished by his adoring wife, Catherine F. Kester Devaux; his sons, David Devaux of Chester, Darrell Devaux (Denise Devaux-Harless) of East Liverpool, Chris Devaux (Laura O’Brien) of Romeoville, Ill., and Rick Devaux (Mindy) of East Liverpool. He is also survived by his stepbrother, Bill Springer; stepsister, Janice Springer; as well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who filled his life with joy.
The service will be officiated by Pastor Kim Gadd Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, at the Arner Funeral Chapel, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens. Friends may visit with his family Sunday at the funeral home Sept. 28, 2025, from noon to 2 p.m., and 4 to 6 p.m.
