Marjorie Allison

Marjorie Jean Allison (maiden name Stackhouse), 99, formerly of Chester, W.Va., passed away March 4, 2025 following a brief illness in Sarasota, Florida, where she had resided since 1994.

Born Sept. 20 1925, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Jack in 1996, and her sisters Shirley and Judith.

A member of the First Methodist Church in Chester where she taught Sunday School and later in Sarasota, she is survived by her sons, Jack Allison (wife Fredericka) of Queen Creek, Ariz., Tim Allison (wife Denise) of Harbeson Deleware; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Living in Pittsburgh PA she was a consumer advocate on KDKA TV Call for Action, a board member in her Sarasota, Fla., HOA and a loved and respected of her Florida community, known affectionately as “The Queen.”

There will be a celebration of her life at the Chester First United Methodist Church Saturday, Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chester First United Methodist Church.
