David Bruce Farnsworth

EAST LIVERPOOL – David Bruce Farnsworth, of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly Saturday afternoon, Sept. 27, 2025, at his home. He was 72 years old.
Born in Steubenville, Aug. 8, 1953, a son of the late James E. and Lyndora Schmidt Farnsworth, he lived in this area all his life. He attended East Liverpool Schools and for 31 years worked at Paper Service Company where he was an operations supervisor until retiring in 2013. He loved all sports, especially bowling and hunting and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, but above all, he loved and adored his grandchildren. His greatest pride as a father came from coaching his sons in baseball.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Gallagher Farnsworth, whom he married July 12, 1975. There are two sons, Matthew Mark Farnsworth and his wife, Brittany, of Negley, and Dustin Lee Farnsworth and his fiancee, Cynthia, of Youngstown; as well as two grandchildren, Sydney Nicole Farnsworth and Madden Aslyn-Lee Farnsworth.
David is also survived by his sister-in-law Debbie Farnsworth, a brother Gary R. Farnsworth, his dog baby girl Freya, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lynda Greathouse and Norene Curran; and a brother, James B. “Muzzy” Farnsworth.
Private family services have been completed at the Dawson Funeral Home.
