Joseph ‘Joe’ Neuch

Joseph Neuch

1957-2025

On Aug. 8, 2025, our hearts were broken as we said goodbye to Joseph “Joe” Neuch, 68, who passed away peacefully at home. Though his time with us was far too short, the life he lived was rich in love.

Born on Jan. 27, 1957, Joe had a difficult childhood and dedicated his life to providing his family with the love, support and encouragement that he had missed. He and his beloved wife Lizanne raised two children, John and Christina, who were his pride and joy. They miss him deeply.

Joe devoted his professional life to education, serving as Superintendent of Schools for Reynolds School District, Pennsylvania, where his leadership shaped the lives of countless students. Beyond his work in education, he ministered for many in the Union City, Pennsylvania Church of the Nazarene, where he made many lifelong friends.

He was happiest spending time with his family, whether it be holidays, family vacations, or riding his Harley Davidson with his son and brother-in-law.

Joe leaves behind his devoted wife, Lizanne; his children, John and Christina; his grandchildren, Liliana and Stella; his sister, Nita Bowers; his brother, Fred Bowers; his brother-in-law, Chris Arnott; nephews Corey (Aly) and Robert (Shannon) McCoy; nephews Chad Carson, Andy Carson, Michael Malcomb, and Jacob Malcomb; and their families. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother June Neuch, nephew Ben Carson, and his brother Scott DeBee.

In lieu of flowers, his family asks that those wishing to honor his memory make a donation to the Hancock County Humane Foundation, 241 Ohio River Blvd., New Cumberland, WV 26047.

Joe’s story will not be measured in years, but in the countless lives he touched, the love he gave, and the example he set. Though our hearts are broken by his absence, we are grateful beyond words to have been loved by him.

The Nixon Funeral Home of Newell was in charge of arrangements.
