James F. ‘Jimmy’ Larner

1956-2025

EAST LIVERPOOL – James F. “Jimmy” Larner, of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly Sunday morning, Aug. 24, 2025, at home. He was 68 years old.

Born in Washington DC, Aug. 27, 1956, he was a son of the late James Herbert Larner and Eleanor Victoria Benedetti Larner. He was Catholic and attended St. John the Evangelist in Clinton, Maryland through the eighth grade. He graduated from Surrattsville High School and worked as a union electrician. After a long career, he retired from Washington Aqueduct as Maintenance Planner with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Jimmy had resided in the East Liverpool area since 2021.

He is survived by his husband, Michael Scott “Mike” Eberhart, whom he married July 7, 2014. There are three siblings: Michael Larner of Odenton, Maryland, Marie Bethman and her husband, Charlie, of Arnold, Maryland, and Mark Larner of Florida. Three nephews also survive: Ryan Bradshaw, Alex Bradshaw and Sam Bradshaw.

Jimmy’s brother-in-law, Charlie Bethman, will conduct a funeral service Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in New Manchester, West Virginia.
