Martin E. Liebschner, Sr.

1941-2025

EAST LIVERPOOL -- Martin E. Liebschner, Sr., 83, of East Liverpool, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Orchards of East Liverpool.

Martin was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on November 18, 1941, a son of the late Emil R. and Mildred (Stevenson) Liebschner. He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1959. Martin attended Miami of Ohio University and finished his studies at Devry University. He was a member of Longs Run Trinity Presbyterian Church. Martin worked as a teacher for East Liverpool High School and later retired from Quaker State where he worked as an operator. Early in his life he used to race cars. Martin also enjoyed model trains and had an elaborate train display in his basement. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Martin was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Preceding Martin in death were his brother Gary Liebschner and sister Linda Liebschner.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, whom he married November 15, 1965, Carol (Skeens) Liebschner; son Martin Liebschner, Jr.; three daughters Sherill Liebschner, Sandra Liebschner and Susan Liebschner; two grandchildren Devon and Chance Liebschner; one great grandchild Jayden Spurlock; three sisters-in-law Barbara Skeens, Janet Liebschner and Elizabeth Beltran and brother-in-law Victor Tuseck.

A private graveside service was held at Columbiana County Memorial Park. A celebration of Martin's Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dawson Funeral Home.
