Janice C. Twyford Hutchin

CHESTER, W.Va. – Janice C. Twyford Hutchin, 91, of East Liverpool, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Pepperberry Suites in Chester, W.Va.

Janice was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on July 2, 1934, a daughter of the late Chester and Gertrude (Watson) Smith. She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1952. Janice worked at AAA, the license bureau and then as a cashier for Walmart from the time they opened in 1991. She was a member of First Church of Christ (Disciples) where she taught numerous Sunday school groups, sang in the choir and was very active in church visitations. She was a 29-year member and past-president of the East Liverpool chapter of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) and a 28-year member of KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly).

Preceding Janice in death were her first husband Fred R. Twyford; second husband Ronald Hutchin; daughter-in-law Brenda Jean Twyford and sister Naomi Nortrup.

Left to cherish her memory is her son Mark F. Twyford.

Friends may visit Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pastor Chuck Adkins will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell, W.Va.

Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
