James Lee Virden

1957-2025
James Lee Virden, 68, of East Liverpool died Tuesday after a lengthy battle with dementia. He was born June 25, 1957 in East Liverpool, Ohio, son of the late Curtis and Carol Virden.
Jim worked many years as a truck driver last working for PGT trucking. He was known as Little John on the CB. He had a love for farming, gardening, golfing and the Pittsburgh Steelers, but will be remembered above all else for the love of his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Quinn Virden, of 49 years, whom he married February 28, 1976. Children include daughters, Becky and her fiance, John and Jennifer Virden: and sons James (Amy) Virden and Bradley (Sarah) Virden. He was known as Pap to his grandchildren, Shelby Ghrist, Elizabeth (Aaron) Smith, Alexis Sell, Brooklyn Perry, Kurtis Virden, Jonathan Virden and Shea Shipman. His great-grandchildren include Kaleb Ghrist, Rylee Miller, Ryan Ghrist and Sophie Smith.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his sister, Judy Webb.
Also left to cherish his memory are siblings, Dale (Cindie), Ross (Melinda), Mark (Denise) and Carl (Karen) Virden; Margie and Edith Virden; Uncle Dave and Aunt Alice; nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may visit from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 2 at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester, WV.
