Dawn Lynn Acker

Dawn Lynn Acker, 46, of East Liverpool, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025. She was born on Aug. 31, 1978 in Hazelton, Pa., the daughter of Terry and Diana Acker.

She was preceded in death by her life partner, Joshua Watthews; a daughter, Schantelle Watthews; and four grandchildren, Sterling, Evelynn and two infant baby boys.

She is survived by two daughters, Angeleena Watthews of Ohio and Shawnna Fortunato (Dominic Locke) of East Liverpool, and a son, Joshua (Reagan) Fortunato of East Liverpool; three grandchildren, Antonio, Nova and Shylynn; a sister, Shannon Acker of Florida.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday July 26, 2025, at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell from 3 p.m. to time of service at 6 p.m. The family requests memorial donations be made to Nixon Funeral Home to assist in expenses.
