Daisy Lee Suznevich, peacefully passed away on July 7, 2025 with family at her side at Calcutta Health Care in Ohio. She was born in Midland, Pa., on Oct. 20, 1929 and played an active role in her community for 85 years before relocating to Crossroads assisted living in Ohio.
She was predeceased by her parents Anthony and Millie Bomestar, husband George Suznevich, sister Ann Borato and brother Nick Bomestar.
She loved her family, community, reading, cooking and baking, dogs, traveling with family, friends and the circle of Serbian Sisters. She was a loyal Steelers fan and followed tennis, poker and golf. Miss Daisy had many friends in Midland, young and old, who remember her quick wit, laughter, kindness, and generosity. Strong, sweet, loyal, courageous and adventurous were among her other attributes.
She was most proud of being a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church since its inception in 1949 and was one of its original board members. Daisy also served as an officer of the Mother's Club and the Circle of Serbian Sisters.
She leaves behind her children, Nancy Huber, of Maryland, Dan Suznevich (Andrea) and Marsha Suznevich, of California; grandchildren Dan (Michelle) and Taylor Suznevich; and great-grandchildren Blake, Elijah, Carstin, and Isabella Suznevich, all of Ohio, and her beloved nieces and nephews and their families.
Visitation will be held 8:30 a.m. Thursday, July 10 at St. George SOC followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. Interment at Beaver Cemetery to follow.
