Thelma R. (Dailey) Miller

1930-2025

Thelma R. (Dailey) Miller, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, in East Liverpool, Ohio, at the age of 95. Born on Jan. 15, 1930, in Racine, Ohio, Thelma lived a long and fulfilling life surrounded by family and friends.

Thelma dedicated 21 years of her life working as a retail clerk at Kroger, where she was known for her friendly demeanor and commitment to serving her community. She was a proud member of UFCW Local 880, advocating for workers' rights and supporting her colleagues throughout her career.

A devoted and active member of the Fredericktown Christian Church, Thelma found great joy and purpose in her faith and church community. Her warmth and compassion were felt by all who knew her, as she never met a stranger and was truly a friend to all.

In her personal life, Thelma enjoyed the simple pleasures of gardening and canning her crops. She loved hosting family dinners, creating cherished memories with her loved ones. Alongside her late husband, Ralph Miller, to whom she was married for an incredible 74 years, she spent many happy winters in Florida, enjoying the sunshine and each other's company.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, Omer and Winnie (Johnson) Dailey; her loving husband, Ralph Miller; brothers Lawrence and Floyd Dailey; and sisters Marie Autherton and Faye Czech. Her legacy lives on through her surviving family, including her sons David (Shirley) and Larry (Loretta) Miller, and daughter Karen Miller; her sister Ruby Ludwig; and her grandchildren Jody (Chris) Lease, Tonya (Jason) Gamble, Amy Miller, Cristy (William "B.J.") Conrad, Danyell (Charles "Monk") Richmond, and Bryan (Brandi) Miller. She was also adored by 12 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will remember her fondly as a loving and generous presence in their lives.

Thelma's life will be celebrated on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in East Liverpool, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a funeral service following at 1 p.m.

Thelma's gentle spirit and unwavering love for her family, especially her grandchildren, will be dearly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
