Marvin Lee Merriman

1950-2025

EAST LIVERPOOL - Marvin Lee Merriman of East Liverpool, passed away Wednesday evening, June 11, 2025, at his home. He was 75 years old.

Born in East Liverpool, March 11, 1950, he was a son of the late Howard and Gayle Pelley Merriman. A lifetime area resident, he was a 1968 graduate of the East Liverpool High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran from 1968 to 1970 during the Vietnam War where he served in the Mediterranean. When he returned home, he worked at Crucible Steel Company. He also earned a degree from Kent State University. Marvin was a member of the American Legion Post 374.

He is survived by three sisters, Kimberly Willey and her husband, Dave, of East Liverpool, Marsha Black and her husband, Paul, of Poland, and Kathy Myers and her husband, Dave, of Chester, and a brother, Kevan Merriman of East Liverpool. He will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews, along with his trusted caregiver Stacey McKinnon of East Liverpool.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Merriman.

Chaplain Dave Willey, Marvin's brother-in-law, will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home where friends may visit two hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park where the Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will conduct military honors.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
