John Maruca, 74, of New Cumberland, passed away Tuesday June 17, 2025. He was born on Dec. 30, 1950, the son of the late Charles and Donna (Weeks) Maruca. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Angela Cottrill, Two brothers, Chuck and Bill Maruca and a sister Nancy Greathouse.
He was a 1968 graduate of Oak Glen, formerly worked for Ohio Brass and retired from Penn Power.
He is survived by his wife Daisy (Myers) Maruca, at home; three sons, John (Beth) Maruca, of Texas, Gus (Amanda) Henderson, of Wellsville and Clayton (Kerri) Henderson of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Charlie, Conner, Rylie, Ethan, Jobey, Tyler and Jace; three great-grandchildren, Carter, Kyler and Kruz Neil. He is also survived by three brothers, Nick, Gary and Paul Maruca; and two sisters, Betsy Muskgrove and D.J. Jones.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell from 4 p.m. to time of service at 6 p.m.
