BROOKFIELD, Ohio -- Flora J. Penn, 76, of Brookfield, Ohio, formerly of Irondale, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Sharon Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 8, 1949, in Irondale, the daughter of the late John and Laura (Clark) Penn. In addition to her parents, Flora was preceded in death by her son, Johnathan Payne.
Flora graduated from Stanton Local High School in 1967 and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967-1970. She was previously employed for 30 years as a laborer on the line for Delphi Packard and most recently for 14 years at Walmart. Flora enjoyed being out in nature and gardening.
Survivors include her sons: Steven Eddy of Youngstown and Jayce (Sabrina) Payne of Bristol, Va.; and one brother, Robert (Lisa) Penn of East Liverpool. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Rosalie and Jessicah Payne, and Joshua and Bridgett Eddy; two great-grandchildren: Isabelle and Samantha; and her nieces and nephew. Flora was blessed to connect later in her life with other siblings and family members.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Blakeley of the Wellsville First Christian Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Hammondsville Cemetery where the Tri-State Burial Group will accord full military honors.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main St. in Wellsville.
