Victor “Vic” Reed, 73, of Lawrenceville, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025. He was born on Oct. 11, 1951, a son of Marian (Pugh) Reed and the late Victor R. Reed. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jamie (Norris) Reed; a daughter, Meghan Reed; and two brothers, Duke Reed and Troy Reed.
Vic was a graduate of Oak Glen, 1969, he was a veteran of the Air Force; he was retired from the Bruce Mansfield Power Plant. He was a member of the Chester American Leigon and VFW. He played ball with Lawrenceville Little League, the Don E. Smith Jr. League that won in nationals and Waterford Park softball league. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Brandy Reed of Wheeling and Whitley Reed (Justin Zeigler) of New Cumberland; three grandchildren, Victoria (JD), Grayson and Jackson; and a granddaughter, Madalyn on the way. He is also survived by a sister Lissa Reed (Rob Parsons) of East Liverpool and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell from 2 to 6 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, where military services will be held by Chester American Legion and VFW burial Group.
