Ricky E. Wright Sr.

Ricky E. Wright Sr., 70, of East Liverpool, passed away Sunday May 4, 2025. He was born on June 30, 1954, the son of the late Ralph and Viola(Shinn) Wright. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Veronica; three grandchildren; three brothers, Danny, Ralph Jr. and Thomas; two sisters, Freda “Nikki” and Susan.

Ricky loved hunting and fishing, playing his guitar and singing.

He is survived by his fiancee, Joyce Snider; two sons, Ricky Wright Jr. and Chase Wright, both of East Liverpool; two daughters, Angela Wright of Wellsville and Stacy Wright (Chris Wilson) of East Liverpool; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers, David Wright Sr., Billy Wright, Randy Wright and Matt Wright; three sisters, Becky Monborne, Cindy Wood and Carol Joy.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m., where funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Calcutta Cemetery in Calcutta. Tri-State Veterans burial group will conduct military services.
