EAST LIVERPOOL -- Linda Lee Bayer, 85, of East Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at her home.
She was born July 10, 1939, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Alice (Brown) McDowell and the late Forrest Geer. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death on Feb. 27, 2016, by her husband, Richard A. "Dick" Bayer, whom she married March 14, 1958.
Linda graduated from Wellsville High School in 1957. She was previously employed as a clerk for Chambers Clothing Store in East End. Family was everything to Linda and Dick, and they were the loving parents to their daughter, Lyn, and the fun-loving aunt and uncle to their nieces and nephews. They could always be found playing dress up, doing arts and crafts, and any other activity that was asked of them. Having all of the kids around was the joy of their lives. Linda was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Glenmoor.
Survivors include her daughter, Lyn (Jim) Prodonovich of East Liverpool; two brothers: Donald (Rhonda) Geer of Ashland, Ohio and George (Susan) Mackall of Wellsville; and several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her granddog, Tucker.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 16516 Annesley Road, East Liverpool, OH 43920. Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Bethel United Presbyterian Cemetery.
Following the conclusion of the service, everyone is invited to join the family for continued fellowship at Linda's house.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Linda's name to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 16516 Annesley Road, East Liverpool, OH 43920.
Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville is entrusted with Linda's arrangements.
