Katharine ‘Kitty’ Watson

1934-2025
EAST LIVERPOOL – Katharine “Kitty” Watson, 90, of East Liverpool, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Calcutta Health Care Center.
Kitty was born on Aug. 29, 1934, in Calcutta, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clarence M. and Alice L. (Parsons) Wilton. She was a graduate of Lisbon High School. She worked at Homer Laughlin as a cup finisher and at Walmart in the deli department. She was Lutheran by faith and attended St. John Lutheran Church.
Preceding Kitty in death were her husband, whom she married Sept. 7, 1952, Charles L. Watson; and two brothers, Wayne and Allan C. Wilton.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Kathie Rogers and her husband William and Arlean Elliott; son Phillip Watson and his wife Donna; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Martin, Candy Thompson, J. Adam Hayden and his wife Sarah, J. Andrew Hayden, Emily Detweiler and her husband Ray, Stephanie Hayes and her husband David and Meghan Roberts and her husband Jason; and many great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 10 a.m. to noon. Pastor Eric Edwards of St. John Lutheran Church will conduct a funeral service on Monday at noon at the funeral home. Burial at Spring Grove Cemetery.
Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Kitty may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church, 400 Hill Boulevard, East Liverpool, OH 43920.
