Joann A. Prince

It is with our deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of the life of Joann A. Prince on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. She touched so many hearts during her 96 remarkable years in East Liverpool. She was surrounded by love and family in her final days and will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and tremendous cooking.

A proud daughter of Anthony and Phyllis Coputa Yanni, Joann is now reunited with her beloved brothers, Frank, Ralph, Lou, and Ray, as well as her dear sister, Mary Ferello.

Joann's journey began at East Liverpool High School graduating in 1947, where she later poured her passion into her family's cherished restaurants, Yanni's Cafe and Ferellos. Her 24 years at the Kent State Bookstore showcased her dedication to the community she loved, and her warm spirit shone through as a devoted member of St. Aloysius/ Holy Trinity Parish in East Liverpool. Joann relished caring for her family and creating beautiful memories with them.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Randall Prince, and his wife, Lisa; her grandchildren, Blake and Madison; sister, Rose Allen and her husband, Roy; and countless nieces and nephews who were fortunate to know her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Crossroads Assisted Living for their exceptional care, compassion, and kindness. Your support and dedication brought comfort and dignity to our loved one in her final days, and we are deeply thankful.

We will celebrate Joann's life Friday, May 23, at 7 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday before the service from 2 to 7 p.m. Private interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery.
