Beth Susan ‘Susie’ Sigler

1952-2025

Beth Susan “Susie” Sigler, born on Feb. 1, 1952, in East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, with her family by her side, at Allegheny General Hospital. She was 73 years old.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Susie was known for her vibrant spirit. She graduated from East Liverpool High School with the Class of 1970, where she excelled as a majorette. She went on to dedicate many years of her life as a dispatcher for various local EMS. Most recently she was employed as a medical receptionist until her retirement this past fall.

Susie was an avid bowler participating in numerous women’s and mixed leagues throughout the area. In her early years, she found joy in square dancing, and roller skating, which brought her much happiness and cherished memories.

Susie loved her family, especially her sons, and spent most of her adult life supporting them at various activities throughout their lives. No matter if it was the football field, basketball gym, or sitting in the stands at a baseball game, Susie was there supporting her boys. Most of all she enjoyed family vacations to Florida.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald Popejoy and Susanna Figley.

She is survived by her husband, Michael D. Sigler, whom she married on Nov. 21, 1975. She also leaves behind her sons, Josh (Mary Alice) Sigler, of Hanoverton, and Chris (Shelby) Sigler, of East Palestine, as well as her cherished granddaughter, Tatym Sigler. In addition, she leaves behind three brothers, Gerald (Peggy) Popejoy, Jay (Paige) Popejoy and Alan (Sandy) Popejoy, all of St. Petersburg, Florida. She also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Calcutta.
