Wilma Faye (Yeager) Anderson passed away peacefully at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, with her loving husband and daughter by her side. She was 83 years old.
Born on May 16, 1941, in Industry, Pennsylvania, Wilma was one of nine children of the late Curtis and Myrtle (Welman) Yeager. A lifelong resident of East Liverpool, Ohio, she attended East Liverpool City Schools and remained deeply connected to her community throughout her life.
On Nov. 19, 1960, Wilma married the love of her life, Jerry Anderson. Together they shared 64 years of devoted marriage, raising a family and building a life rooted in love and commitment. Wilma was a devoted mother to her daughter, Janice (Anderson) Koehler and son-in-law John Koehler of Wickenburg, Arizona, and a proud grandmother to Alex Ryan Koehler of Moorpark, California, whom she cherished dearly. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Vivian (Yeager) Marrs of Ft. McCoy, Florida.
Wilma served her community with dedication, working 27 years as a school bus driver for East Liverpool City Schools. She also spent seven years as a cook at Adkins Nursing Home, where her warm spirit and hard work touched many lives.
Above all else, Wilma will be remembered for her deep sense of selflessness, servanthood, and unwavering care for her family. Her life was marked by quiet strength and humble sacrifice. She devoted herself fully to the needs of her husband and daughter, always putting their well-being ahead of her own. Whether it was through years of daily caregiving, providing emotional support, or simply creating a home filled with love, Wilma gave of herself completely and without hesitation.
Her kindness and compassion were the foundation of how she lived -- never seeking recognition, but always ready to serve. She embodied grace in action, caring for others with patience, gentleness, and a heart full of love. Her presence was a steady anchor in the lives of those around her, and her legacy of devotion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Strother Yeager, Bob Yeager, Opal Ilene (Yeager) Owens, Maxine (Yeager) Hescht, Betty (Yeager) Husk, Joan (Yeager) Hughes, and infant sister, Mildred Yeager.
Wilma leaves behind a large extended family and many dear friends who will miss her deeply. Her memory will live on through the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
In accordance with Wilma's wishes, the family has chosen not to hold services or calling hours. Dawson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Friends and family are welcome to reach out to Jerry and Janice privately to share condolences or offer support during this time.
