WELLSVILLE -- Rosalie J. "Roe" Fusco Call, 86, of Wellsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at her home.
She was born July 24, 1938, in Wellsville, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Maitino) Fusco. The "Roe" of "Jack and Roe" (because there was never one without the other), was preceded in death on July 22, 2014, by her husband, John E. "Jack" Call, whom she married July 25, 1960. She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael "Scott" Call; two brothers: Ralph and Frank (Mary Lib) Fusco; sister-in-law, Peggy (Bob) Bloor; and two nephews: Gene Beadnell and Joey Fusco.
Roe graduated from Wellsville High School in 1956. She was a licensed beautician her entire life and also was employed as a clerk at ABC Carry Out in Wellsville, a cook at Town Hall, and most recently as a hostess at Roberts Funeral Home. "Nunny's House" was always open to everyone who stopped by with the promise of good food and great company. Jack and Roe enjoyed entertaining their friends and classmates during the All-School Reunions as well as performing together in the Alumni Association's Lip Sync Shows. They were known for their epic parties and Christmas Eve get-togethers. Roe enjoyed shopping trips with her daughter, Lori, and granddaughter, Jonna, and adding to her shoe collection. She was a member of the Wellsville Elks Lodge 1040 and a previous member of the American Legion Post 70 and Wellsville SOI #657. Roe was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Lori A. Call of Wellsville; grandchildren: Jonna, Michael, and Sonny Call; niece, Mary Jane Beadnell; and nephews: Frankie (Mary K) Fusco, David Bloor and Jeff (Cyndi) Bloor. Also surviving is her beloved fur-grandbaby, Gussy.
The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Blakeley of the Wellsville First Christian Church officiating. Immediately following the service, everyone is invited to continue celebrating Roe's life at the Wellsville Elks where she and Jack enjoyed spending much of their time.
Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service on Wednesday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to nurse Lindsey and aide Lynn, as well as the rest of the wonderful staff at Hospice of the Valley, for the outstanding care and love they gave to Roe.
