LISBON, Ohio -- Ruth A. Osborn, 87, of East Liverpool, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Continuing Healthcare in Lisbon.
Ruth was born in East Liverpool on Sept. 18, 1937, a daughter of the late Earl W. and Ethel (Burchett) Speerhas. She worked for the East Liverpool City School District as a crossing guard before becoming a school bus driver and ended her career as a bus aide. Ruth was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and shopping and having lunch with her friends. She really enjoyed going dancing with her husband. Ruth was a loving mother and grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family.
Preceding Ruth in death were her husband, whom she married Sept. 20, 1957, Richard G. Osborn; son Richard L. "Dickie" Osborn and a sister, Jane Scott.
Left to cherish Ruth's memory are her daughter Dawn Renee Wise and her husband Jim; son Ronald W. Osborn; stepson Greg A. Osborn; daughter-in-law Kim Osborn; brother Frank Speerhas; five grandchildren, Brittany Emeloff and her husband Todd, Justin Osborn, Whitney Osborn, Kyle Osborn and Jennifer Wise; four stepgrandchildren, Shantell Osborn, Greg Osborn, Dalton Osborn and Dylan Osborn; three great-grandchildren, Hunter Osborn, Malakai Osborn and London Richard Emeloff; special nieces and nephews John Speerhas, Teresa McCoy and Janet Piggott; and her best friend Margie Brewer.
Friends may visit Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. Pastor Norm Eckert will conduct a funeral service Friday 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.
Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
