Lois Jean "Jeanne" Glover, 84, of Wellsville, OH passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Salem West Healthcare, in Salem, OH. Jeanne was born on June 10, 1940, the daughter of the late William F. and Lovie D. "Stella" (Harper) Dixon. Jeanne was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and a dedicated servant of God.
Throughout her life, Jeanne wore many hats with grace and dedication. As a beautician, she owned and operated Jeanne's Beauty Salon on Rt 39 in Wellsville, Ohio, where she shared her talent and brought joy to her clients. Her adventurous spirit also took her to the skies as a flight attendant for Trans World Airlines (TWA) until its closing, and later for US Air Lines, allowing her to fulfill her passion for seeing the world.
A devoted member of the Living Well Church of the Nazarene in Wellsville, Jeanne's faith was central to her life. Her commitment to her church and to God was unwavering, and she was proud of her training under the International School of Ministry, from which she earned her degree.
Along with her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert W. Glover, who passed away on August 24, 2000; her dear children, Bruce G. Glover and Raquel J. Glover; and her sister, Marion Hunter.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Marty Glover, of Wellsville; her grandchildren, Jason Glover, Alan (Crista) Glover, and Shawn Glover; her great-grandchildren, Brea, Caleb, Grayson, Grady, Gracie, and Graham. Jeanne's legacy also lives on through her great-great-grandchildren, Preston, Owen, and Jaxson. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth E. (Anthony) Innocent and Gracie (John) M. McBride, along with a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Calcutta. A funeral service will follow at 1 PM, with Pastor Dirk Hall from The Living Well Church officiating. Jeanne will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband in Spring Hill Cemetery.
