Gary F. Morris

1948-2025

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Gary F. Morris, 76, passed away at Brookdale Memory Care Center in Colorado Springs at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025 following a long battle with dementia.

Born in East Liverpool, Ohio on Dec. 12, 1948, he was the son of the late James F. and A. Bernadine Morris.

A lifelong resident of East Liverpool, Gary graduated ELHS in 1967 and served in the US Navy for four years during Vietnam on the destroyer, Myles C. Fox.

Gary worked at Crucible Steel for many years, before working many more at the Hall China Co., where he retired as a machinist in 2011.

He is survived by his wife, Karen, of 53 years., Dec. 2, 1972, who he met while fixing motorcycles with her dad. It was ALL MOTORCYCLES from the beginning. They road together everywhere, in every state, except Alaska. Gary and Karen had many different bikes through their journey. From BMWs to Gold Wings to the last being a Harley with a sidecar. They shared many of their excursions riding in the mountains and on curvy back roads with dear friends and family.

He is survived by: daughter, Lori Morris (Dallies), her husband Ken of Colorado Springs, grandsons, Tyler Dallies (Jasmine), Brendan Dallies (Raven), Benjamin and Noah and great-grandsons, Ryder and Clayton.

Gary is preceded in death by: his parents, James and Bernadine Morris, brother, Thomas, and triplet grandsons, Kenneth Jr., Zachary and Austin.

Gary will be laid to rest at Locust Hill Cemetery in West Virginia, beside his parents. A service will be planned at Dawson's Funeral Home at a later date.
