Deanna R. Plemons

1938-2025

EAST LIVERPOOL - Deanna R. Plemons, of East Liverpool, passed away at her home Tuesday, March 11, 2025. She was 86 years old.

Born in Merrittstown, Pennsylvania, July 10, 1938, a daughter of the late Donald N. and Marjorie E. (Shipley) Shaneyfelt. She moved to this area at a young age and was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1956. Deanna worked as a secretary for several local organizations. She was the first secretary at Westgate Middle School, she also served as the secretary of the East Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and the former Energy Development Corporation. Deanna's work then led her to the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association where she was the Association's administrative secretary.

Deanna was always active in the community. She was a member of the Crystal Chapter #18 of the Order of the Eastern Star and the East Liverpool Assembly #71 Social Order of the Beauceant, where she held virtually every office in both organizations. She was also a lifetime member of the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association.

Deanna was preceded in death by her husband, Lambert Plemons, on May 19, 2021. The couple married on July 13, 1958. She was also preceded by her sister, Kim Woomer.

Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Plemons Camp of East Liverpool; two grandchildren, Jacob Angus and his companion Marissa Hayes, Addison Camp and her companion Logan French; a great-granddaughter, Aubree Angus; and longtime friend Doris Rogers.

Friends may visit Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Chuck Adkins will conduct a funeral service Friday 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Crystal Chapter #18 Order of the Eastern Star service Thursday at 7 p.m. followed by East Liverpool Assembly #71 Social Order of the Beauceant service.

Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
