Herbert F. ‘Herb’ Melone

1952-2024

Herbert F. “Herb” Melone, 72, of East Liverpool, passed away at East Liverpool City Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born on Aug. 5, 1952, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late Herbert F. Melone and Mary C. Richards Melone.

Herb was a graduate of East Liverpool High School and later retired from Hall China Company. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Orioles and Potters Club in East Liverpool and an avid sports fan, particularly of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Ohio State University.

Herb will be dearly missed by his daughter, Melissa Wade, and her husband, John, of East Liverpool; his grandchildren, Austin and Mackenzie Wade; his sisters, Edith Straffon (Jerry) of Wellsville, Diana Wright of California and Cheryl and Les McKenzie of Tennessee as well as his many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank East Liverpool City Hospital ER doctors and 4th floor nurses and aids that cared for Herb in his final days.

A celebration of Herb’s life will take place on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, at the Arner Funeral Chapel at 6 p.m. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the service, from 4 to 6 p.m.
