Richard K. Mautz, 82, passed away May 14, 2024.
Richard was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, to the late Gustav Mautz and Wilma Mautz. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1964-1966. He worked as a Principal Quality Analyst for the Timken Company, retiring after 35-plus years. Richard was a co-founder for the Canton Carnival of Wheels vehicle show that is held at Stark State College. All proceeds go to Stark State's Automotive Tech scholarships. He also volunteered for Aunt Susie's Cancer Wellness Center, as well as Score Group, which helps small to medium sized businesses and charitable organizations to help develop various business plans.
He was preceded in death by his wife Karen Mautz (Smith) in 2010. Richard is survived by his sons Andrew and Steven Mautz and grandsons Thomas and Joseph.
Services for Richard Mautz will be held Tuesday, May 21, at 11 a.m. at Reed Funeral Home, 705 Raff Road SW Canton, Ohio, with Pastor Amy Downard officiating, with visitation Monday May 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday 10 a.m. until service time at the same location. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
