Patricia Jean Burch of Newell, W.Va., passed away May 8, 2024, at the Stone Pear Pavilion. She was 90.
She was born in Chester Jan. 1, 1934, the daughter of Charles and Jane Ervin Kology. Patricia graduated from Chester High School Class of 1952. Pat worked at the Teapot in Chester after her graduation. She was a lifelong member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chester. She met and married Robert Tracy Burch in Newell.
Pat and Bob were married in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Dec. 31, 1954. After 58 1/2 years of marriage, Bob preceded Pat in death June 27, 2012. Bob retired from Crucible and J&L Steel in Midland, Pa., after 45 years.
Pat and Bob raised three sons, Russell (Tina) Burch, Ronald (Sylvia) Burch and Robert (Kim) Burch, and were blessed with eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren of whom they were very proud. Pat also leaves one sister, Joan Powers of Chester.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Father John Neiman will preside over the Catholic Funeral Liturgy Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chester. Interment will be held at Locust Hill Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Orchards for the care they provided during her time at the facilities.
