Eileen Severs, beloved by all who knew her, passed away peacefully at the age of 87, surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, May 17, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy of joy and warmth that touched the lives of many. Eileen warmed the room with her love and kindness. Her strength was inspirational, and she had the remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel welcome and valued.
She was born Sept. 19, 1936, in Cross Creek, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Emil and Margaret Hilberry Tiderman.
In her early years, she was a familiar face working at Chester IGA and Nickles Bakery. Eileen was proud to work for her son for 17 years at Chestnut Candle Company. She cherished her work and the friendships she created along the way.
Eileen had a passion for quilting and visiting with her friends from the candle shop. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society.
Although she isn't here with us in person, Eileen's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed enough to have been touched by her light. She will be missed by her sons, Randy Severs and his wife, Vicki, of Chester, Rick Severs and his wife, Larissa, of Negley, Mike Severs (Renee) of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Dave Severs and his wife, Missy, of Chester; daughter, Sherry Clark and her husband, Rich, of East Liverpool; sister, Judy Cox, and husband, Bob, of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Robbie (Kristi) Severs, Brandon (Kasey) Severs, Rick (Hope) Severs Jr., Jamie Severs, Matthew Severs, Corrie McCall, Miranda (Jack) Hoit, Amy (Jay) Soileu, Lindsay (Heath) Betz, Emmy Severs (Jacob) and Ally Severs; 18 great-grandchildren. Eileen will also be missed by her dog Zoey and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Severs, the love of her life; a grandson, Clinton (Gook) Severs; great-grandson Nathan Severs; two sisters, Jean (Chuck) Haught and Coog (Bill) McCloskey and brother Buck (Rose) Tiderman.
Private services will be held at the convenience of her family. She is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
