Thomas Andrew Carnegie

1966-2024

CUMMING, Georgia - Thomas Andrew Carnegie, 58, of Cumming, Georgia, formerly of East Liverpool, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, in Roswell, Georgia, due to complications from a stroke.

Tom was born in East Liverpool on Jan. 13, 1966. He was a graduate of Milton High School Class of 1984 in Milton, Georgia. Tom received a bachelor's degree in business in 1988 and a master's degree in risk management from the University of Georgia in Athens and was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity. Following graduation, Tom worked for his stepfather's construction company, Joseph E. Clement Builders, and then for a land title organization. For the last 19 years, Tom worked as a Dangerous Goods Responder and Safety Co-chair for UPS in Roswell, Georgia. Tom enjoyed listening to music of all types, was a history/trivia buff and an enthusiast of WWI and WWII memorabilia.

Preceding Tom in death were his father, Thomas Carnegie, his stepfather, Joe Clement, and his mother, Kandy Carnegie-Clement.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Kathryn Ash and her husband Randy, his brother, Timothy Davenport and his wife Mickey (Brown) Davenport, nephew Tyler Davenport, niece Caylin Lunguana and her husband Fineto, his great-niece Kai-aniela Lunguana; two aunts, Darlene Beerworth and her husband Don, Nina West and many cousins and lifelong friends.

So many of Tom's friends and co-workers have reached out to the family and expressed the blessing that it was to have had Tom in their lives. We have all sent a piece of our hearts with him. Godspeed, Tom.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 17 where the family will be present from 1 to 3 pm. A celebration of life service will be held following that at 3 pm.

Immediately following the service, the family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so are asked to make a donation to their favorite church or charity in Tom's name.
