WELLSVILLE -- Wilanna V. "Willie" Morehead, 105, of South Lyon, Michigan, formerly of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, at her daughter's home in Michigan.
She was born Nov. 22, 1918, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Bert and Pearl (Roach) Baker. In addition to her parents, Willie was preceded in death on Nov. 19, 1980, by her first husband, James H. Culp, whom she married in 1938, and on Oct. 26, 2001, by her second husband, Robert N. Morehead, whom she married in 1986. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Geraldine LaClair, as well as by three sisters and two brothers.
Willie was employed as a nurse's aide for 20 years. She was a member of the Wellsville Lady Elks and a lifetime member of the Wellsville VFW Post 5647 Women's Auxiliary. Willie was also a member of the Living Well Church.
Survivors include three children: Bonnie Kane of South Lyon, Michigan, William J. Culp of Wellsville, and Ralph Culp of Lancaster, Ohio. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at noon Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the church officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service on Friday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main St. in Wellsville.
