EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO - Ronald L. "Ron" Cunningham, 66, of East Liverpool passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2024 at East Liverpool City Hospital.
Ron was born in East Liverpool on Dec. 27, 1957 a son of the late Harry L. and Carol F. (Arnett) Cunningham. He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1976. Ron worked at the waste water department at Homer Laughlin in Newell. He loved music and adored the Beatles and Journey. Ron was a former co-commissioner of East Liverpool Youth Baseball and the Old Timers Baseball Association. He was a car enthusiast and loved corvettes and had his own little red corvette. Ron enjoyed taking his 76 Stingray Corvette to car shows to show it off. Ron also enjoyed sports of all kinds including football, wrestling and basketball. Ron was a lover of poetry, writing many poems for his wife. The one thing he loved more than baseball was his family. He loved planning and providing trips for them to enjoy. Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be missed by many.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, whom he married May 12, 1978, Pamela (Czech) Cunningham; two sons, Michael Cunningham and his wife Amanda and Ryan Cunningham; grandson Rory Cunningham; sister Kathy White and her husband Larry; two brothers, Gary Cunningham and his wife Joyce and Steve Cunningham and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Friday where the family will be present from 2 to 6 p.m. Pastor Mark Blakeley will conduct a celebration of life service at the funeral home on Friday 6 p.m. Burial at Calcutta U.P. Cemetery.
