Rita Ann Evans, 76, of East Liverpool, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024.
She was born on April 12, 1947, in East Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of the late William "Bud" and Helen (Perkins) Morrison.
She was a 1965 graduate of East Liverpool High where she served as president of the girls Athletic Association. She retired from Hall China and was a member of Boyce Church. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Morrison, and a sister, Leah Webb.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Evans; two sons, Barry Evans of Chester and Shawn Evans of Ohio; a daughter, Shari Evans of East Liverpool; three grandchildren, Richard, Madyson and Tyler; two great-grandchildren, Avah and Richard Jr.; three sisters, Grace (Peter) Golling of Florida, Carolyn (David) Hager of East Liverpool and Marion Ibbs of East Liverpool; a brother, Walter Morrison of Ohio; and a canine companion, "Spike."
Rita was the co-founder of the Klondyke Reunion Committee where she was in charge of bon-fires for the kids. She was an avid sports participant and fan of all sports. Rita was a light in the lives of all that knew her, and her children and grandchildren was the love of her life.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4 p.m. at the Nixon Funeral Home of Newell.
