John G. Keeder, 74, of Chester, passed Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at Continuing Health Care in Lisbon, following a lengthy illness.
Born April 28, 1949, in Steubenville, he was the son of the late Bernard and Elene Weist Keeder.
He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Lana Higgins Keeder, whom he was married to for 40 years; and by his brother George Keeder.
John was a graduate of Stanton High School Class of 1968. He later retired from Marsh Bellofram, where he worked in the maintenance department.
He enjoyed playing computer games, reading, word search puzzles, and watching baseball.
John will be deeply missed by his daughter, Elizabeth Barnhart, and her husband, Jason of Chester; grandchildren, Brian Coulter and Katelyn Barnhart, and sister, Elsie Ogden of Mingo Junction.
Pastor Dirk Hall will celebrate John's life on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, at Arner Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell. Friends may visit with his family Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, at the funeral home from, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
