Edward M. (Marty) Lamping passed away peacefully in his sleep on the evening of Dec. 25, 2023, in Lompoc, California.
The son of the late Norman and Alice Lamping, he was born Jan. 10, 1953, in Torrence, California. A 1971 graduate of Beaver Local High School, Marty was a veteran of the United States Air Force and spent the majority of his adult life in the trucking and transportation industry.
He is survived by his long-time companion, Lucy Frezza, of Lompoc, California; a son, Michael Lamping of Lompoc, California; and a brother, Steve (Denise) Lamping of Calcutta, Ohio.
There will be no services and burial arrangements are pending.
