Pauline Ann ‘Polly’ Stevens

1955-2023

Pauline Ann "Polly" Stevens, 68, formerly of Newell, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family Monday, Dec. 11, 2023, at East Liverpool City Hospital.

Born March 27, 1955, in East Liverpool, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Genevieve Stoy Franczek.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Stevens, and by her fiance, Homer Martin.

Polly attended Oak Glen High School. A member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chester. She was a devout Catholic and followed her love of God all throughout her life.

She will be deeply missed by her son, Frederick A. Stevens II and his wife, Kelly of Tampa, Fla.; daughter, Melissa Ann Zellers of East Liverpool; siblings, Thom Franczek of San Antonio, Texas, Mick (Sue) Franczek, Stan (Marilyn) Franczek of Newell, W.Va., Chris (Bill) Frank of Canonsburg, Pa., Anne Scarry of Chester, W.Va., and Barb (Dave) McPherson of Chester; grandchildren, Brian Andrew and Kyleigh Ann Zellers, Aubrey and Caleb Stevens; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Polly was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Many told stories of her contagious laugh and smile.

Father Bill Matheny will preside for Memorial Mass of Christian burial Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Chester. Inurnment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery. Memorial visitation will be held at the Church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Rosary will be recited at the church at 10:30 a.m. Arner Funeral Chapel was entrusted with these arrangements.
