Michael D. Woolley Jr., 49, a lifetime resident of Chester, passed Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, at Cleveland Clinic following a lengthy illness.
Born Jan. 21, 1974, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late Michael D. Woolley Sr.
Mike was a graduate of Oak Glen High School Class of 1993. He formerly worked as an engineer for Norfolk Southern Railroad Company. Beyond his work life, Mike was a devoted family man. He cherished spending time with his loved ones and two dogs Cinnamon and Nala. Mike was an avid sports fan, especially football. He dedicated numerous years to coaching Little League football. He enjoyed gardening and cooking. Mike was known as a jokester and prankster. He was a member of the Chester American Legion Post #121.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Erin Joy Woolley, and by his only daughter whom he referred to as "Goose," Georgia Woolley; brother, Bobby Woolley, and his wife, Bev of Chester; sister, Christina Woolley of Chester; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation will be held Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023, at Arner Funeral Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m.
