EAST LIVERPOOL - Dorothy E. Roberts of East Liverpool passed away Monday morning, Dec. 18, 2023, at the Salem Regional Medical Center. She was 89.
Born in East Liverpool, June 10, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Waldemar Burns Czech and Helen Lucile Lotta Czech Krepps. A resident of this area most of her life, she worked at the 7 and 30 Superette. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Dorothy held membership at Madison Trinity Presbyterian Church, the Ruritan Club and was also active with the Rebeccas Lodge at one time. Later in her life, Dorothy was associated with the local clown ministry program.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Walt" Roberts, whom she married Feb. 29, 1964. She was also preceded by a daughter, Mary Jo Blanchard, and two sisters, Ann Snyder and Sondra Santone.
Survivors include her children: two daughters, Martha Heath and her husband, Alan, and Fredda Roberts; and a son, R. Glenn Robinson and his wife, Julianne; as well as 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Tom Echols will conduct a funeral service at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit three hours prior to the service from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. The Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will conduct military honors.
