Donald (DJ) Papendry passed away Dec. 9, 2023 in Florida where he resided. He was born July 1, 1955 to the late Charles and Catherine (Fryman) Papendry. He graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1973.
Don had a beautiful voice and enjoyed playing the drums, guitar and singing, whether it was in church or with friends. His sense of humor and joking way always left a smile and laughter to everyone he knew.
Don leaves behind his grieving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Melissa. He is survived by two children, a daughter Sue (Jason) Gibb of Michigan and son Luke Papendry of Florida; and three grandchildren, Alex, Brandon and Logan Gibb . He is also survived by four siblings, Judi (Joe) Golden, Betty (BJ) Papendry, Charles Papendry Jr. from East Liverpool, Ohio, and a twin sister Donna (Joe) Jackson of Kentucky, along his ex-wife Cheryl Williams Papendry who has been there for him for 36 years.
Till we meet again, rest in the arms of the angels.
A private memorial service will be held for the family at a later date.
