EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO -- Charles D. "Charlie" Campbell, 85, of East Liverpool passed away Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Charlie was born in East Liverpool July 15, 1938, a son of the late Floyd and Macel (Reeder) Campbell. He was a veteran of the Marines. Charlie worked as a printer for The Review, at Crucible Steel, as a security guard for Homer Laughlin and at different auto parts stores in town. Charlie was a member of VFW Post # 66, American Legion Post #374 and the Tri State Veterans Burial Group. He was also a member and past exalted ruler of the East Liverpool Elks Lodge 258. Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Charlie also enjoyed going camping and coaching baseball.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Tyra (Martin) Campbell; four sons, Mike Campbell and his wife Jodie, Scott Campbell and his wife Trudy, Brent Taggart and Chad Campbell and his wife Holly; daughter Teresa Harrison and her husband Chris; 10 grandchildren, Justin Campbell and his wife Jamie, Chris Campbell and his wife Margo, Amanda Reed and her husband Dan, Morgan Smith and her husband Josh, Courtney DuBray and her husband Mike, Alexis Harrison, Natalee Harrison, Ashley Taggart, Caitlyn Taggart and Liam Campbell; 15 great-grandchildren; sister Kay Reynolds and brother Bruce Campbell.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home Friday where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. Pastor Eric Edwards of St. John Lutheran Church will conduct a service at the funeral home on Friday at 4 p.m. where Tri State Veterans Burial Group will provide military honors. Burial at Riverview Cemetery.
