Russell Eugene Striker, born on June 22, 1944, peacefully passed away on Nov. 22, 2023, at his home in Irondale, Ohio. He was surrounded by his loving family. Russell was 79 years old at the time of his passing.
Russell was born in East Liverpool, Ohio and lived in the Irondale area his entire life. He had a fulfilling career, working as a stockman for Marsh Bellofram, as well as serving as a kiln fireman and foreman for Ohio Brass and Newell Porcelain.
Among his many interests, Russell was a proud member of the American Legion #374 and found great joy in watching his grandchildren grow up. He also served his country in the U.S. Army from May 1965 through May 1971.
Russell was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosemary Striker, whom he married on Aug. 30, 1982. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Russell Emerson Striker and Mintia Ann Spencer Striker, his sister Betty Mae Striker, and his son Russell Edward Striker.
Russell is survived by his daughter Carla and Jeff Gampolo of Steubenville, his son Daniel Striker of Irondale, his son Tom and Donna Striker of Toronto, his son David and Bobbi Hooper of Toronto, and his son Richard and Andrea Striker of Irondale. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Brien and Sarah Striker of Lakewood, Washington, Elizabeth Gampolo of Steubenville, Jakoby Striker of East Liverpool, and Makiah Striker of East Liverpool.
In accordance with Russell's wishes, there will be no services held. The caring professionals at the Martin Chapel of CARE Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Calcutta, Ohio have been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
