John M. Gamble, a dedicated family man and hardworking individual, passed away peacefully Nov. 22, 2023, at Orchards of East Liverpool. He was born Dec. 26, 1934, in East Liverpool, Ohio. John was 88 years old at the time of his passing.
John led a fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love and commitment. He was self-employed at Gamble's Body Shop, where he poured his heart and soul into his work. John's dedication and craftsmanship were evident in every project he undertook.
Prior to his career in the automotive industry, John proudly served his country as a Fireman Apprentice in the United States Navy.
John was preceded in death by his parents, George and Catherine (Lunger) Gamble, as well as his sisters, Grace Rowley and Mary Anderson, and his brother, Joe Gamble.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Clark Gamble, whom he married on June 12, 1954; his loving sons, John (Sue) Gamble, Jim Gamble and George "Tom" (Joanna) Gamble. John also leaves behind his grandchildren, Brian Gamble, Andy (Tina) Gamble, Ryan Gamble, Amanda (Josh) Gamble Wolfe and Brittany (Coty) Kapp; as well as great-grandchildren, Gavyn, Keith, Colton and Karsyn. John's devotion to his family was unwavering, and he cherished every moment spent with them. His sons will continue to carry his spirit and values forward, honoring his memory in their own lives.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Martin Chapel of Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Calcutta. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Gary LeMasters officiating.
