COLUMBIANA - Alma Marie Flowers McKinnon, of East Liverpool, passed away Friday morning, Nov. 24, 2023, at the St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center following a lengthy illness. She was 85.
Born in East Liverpool, May 19, 1938, she was a daughter of the late James and Macil Landfried Flowers. She attended East Liverpool High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #122 and the American Legion Post #374.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil "Mick" McKinnon, on Dec. 7, 2009. The couple married April 3, 1954. She was also preceded by her brothers and sisters, Jimmy Flowers, Mary Call, Betty Martinez, Elah Daniels and Gene Frazier.
Two daughters survive, Deborah McElreath and her companion, Paul Sneddon, of Leetonia and Pamela Jordan of East Liverpool; as well as three grandchildren, Amber McElreath and her husband, John Hill, Christopher Jordan and his wife, Tema, and Nickolas Jordan and his husband, Matthew Keyes; along with five great-grandchildren, Faith Jordan, McKinna Jordan, Desmond Imgrund, Todd Stewart and Banion Stewart.
Rev. Ernest Peachey will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
