Suzanne E. Hasenstab, 83, of Canton, passed away Oct. 18, 2023. She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, Aug. 3, 1940, to the late William and Grace (Hanselman) Schmidbauer.
She was a 1958 graduate of East Liverpool High School.
Suzanne worked at Sears (Chapel Hill) for 26 years, the last 10 of which she served as the human resources manager. She was a member of the Basilica of St. John the Baptist Parish. She served on the Stan Hywet Garden Committee and the Akron General Service League.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Emil Hasenstab; children Lisa (Bob) Staudt, Karl (Jennifer) Hasenstab and Tom (Shannon) Hasenstab; grandchildren Bobby, Nikki and Michael Staudt, Emma and Ella Hasenstab, Katie Kenney (Mike), Casey Rawlings (Chad), Cody Hasenstab (Sam Ray) and Courtney Hasenstab; great-grandchildren Lily Kenney, Nathan and Josie Sue Rawlings; sisters-in-law Maria Schmidbauer, Mary Jo Schmidbauer, Carolyn Sue Schmidbauer, Nan Schmidbauer and Ann Schmidbauer.
In addition to her parents, Suzanne was preceded in death by her brothers, William, Ronald, Regis, Lee and David Schmidbauer.
Calling hours will be Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Road NE, Massillon, Ohio 44646. Funeral Mass will be Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist, 627 McKinley Ave. NW, Canton, Ohio 44703.
