Robert "Bob" G. Edwards, 70, of Chester, passed peacefully with his loving children by his side, Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital Weirton Medical Center.
Born March 29, 1953, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late Robert H. and Margaret Reed Edwards.
He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of almost 40 years, Sherry Phillips Edwards.
Bob was a man of great strength who could be stubborn, but he was very likeable at the same time. His love of hot rods took him to many car shows over the years. He had numerous other hobbies such as rooting for the Cleveland Browns, WVU and NASCAR, mowing, hosting garage parties and a love of horticulture. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends but what he loved most was being called "Pops" and not only by his own grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Miranda Edwards Gibson of Chester; son, Rob Edwards and his wife, Lindsay of East Liverpool; grandchildren, Kaylex, Kaleena, and Kolvyn Gibson, Reagan, Laney and Roland Edwards and loving companion, Mara Turner.
Pastor Len Peeler will celebrate Bob's life, Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023, at Arner Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with Bob's family at the funeral home, Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
