Roy Bellville
Roy Bellville, 78, of Newell passed away Sept. 29, 2023.
Born in Amsterdam, Ohio, he was the son of the late Earl and Mary (Wells) Bellville.
He was a former machinist for Homer Laughlin. He was a member of the Glen Church of the Nazarene, Girl Scout Troupe Leader; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, he was a lover of local Native American History.
He was the Panhandle Press Father of the Year, 1988.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Glenn Galloway, Earl, Luther and Richard Bellville; and three sisters, Margaret Heath, Genevieve Adkins and Irene Handlon.
Surviving are his wife, Terry (Bragg) Bellville of Newell; two sons, Greg (Deanna) Bellville of Chester and Philip (Jamie) Bellville of Newell; three daughters, Mary (Jeff) McVeigh of Missouri, Letitia (Tim) Zuti of Arkansas and Kerry Wilson (Curtis Thompson) of Newell; grandchildren, April, Keisha, Kristofer, Thorin, Damson, Shawna, Meredith, Mason, Brandon, Tyler, Caleb, Abigail, Evelynn, Oliver, Finn, Ty and Chloe; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bob (Carol) Bellville of Carrolton.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023, from noon to 2 and 4 p.m. until time of services at 6 p.m at Nixon Funeral Home in Newell, W.Va.s
