Donna Jean Wilson
1932-2023
WELLSVILLE -- Donna Jean Wilson, 91, of Wellsville went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a lingering illness.
She was born July 28, 1932, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Granville and Emma (Clark) Travers. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death Nov. 22, 2000, by her husband, Charles Alfred Wilson Sr., whom she married in 1952. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James and Frances Clark.
Donna graduated from Wellsville High School in 1951. She was employed as a supervisor at the former Sterling China Company and Wesco. Donna devoted her time to the Wellsville First Baptist Church where she served as a deaconness and choir member, and was still volunteering her time at the food pantry at the age of 90. She also administered services for all baptisms held in the church.
Survivors include her children, Karen (Charles) Curless of El Paso, Texas, Lynnie (John) Croxall of Brooksville, Florida, Charlotte (Henry) Dorsey of Mays Landing, New Jersey, Charles Alfred Wilson Jr. of East Liverpool, and Edward (Barb) Wilson of Wellsville. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Donna's homegoing service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, at the Wellsville First Baptist Church, 1401 Center St., with Pastor Royland Petties officiating. Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service Saturday at the church.
Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
