David John Mottin
1950-2023
David John Mottin, 73, of East Liverpool, passed away Sept. 25, 2023.
Born Jan. 21, 1950 in Johnstown, Pa, he was the son of the late David and Elsie (Ambrose) Mottin.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Phyllis "Becky" Ambrose, Louise Melott and Dora Keilman; one brother, Jimmy Ambrose; brother-in-law, Bill Melott; nephew, Joshua David Mottin; and a great-nephew.
David was a life member of the VFW Post 66 Auxiliary. He was known for his constant smile and contagious laugh.
Surviving are two brothers, Bill (Joy) Mottin of New Jersey and Brian (Randy) Mottin of Steubenville; one sister, Peggy (Ken) Rager of West Virginia; nieces, Robin (Randy) Bundy, Linda (Pat) Maharick, Billie Jo Mellott, Vicki (Rob) Colon, Amy Rager and Jennifer (Pete) Kay; nephew, Teddy Ambrose; and many great-nieces, -nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3 p.m. at the Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, W.Va.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donation may be made to the Josh Mottin Scholarship, 601 Mundis Mill Road, York, PA 17406.
